Mintpix is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what data we collect (and what we don’t), and how the Mintpix website and macOS app handle information.
Summary
Mintpix does not require accounts. There is no login.
Mintpix processes images locally on your Mac. Your images are not uploaded to Mintpix servers.
We do not sell your personal data.
Information the Mintpix macOS app collects
Mintpix is a local utility app. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, address, or payment details through the app.
- Images and folders you select: Mintpix accesses only the files and folders you choose (for example, an input folder and an output folder) to perform compression and export.
- Local processing: Image conversion happens on your device. We do not upload your images to Mintpix servers.
- No advertising tracking: Mintpix does not track you across apps or websites for advertising purposes.
Note: Your Mac may prompt you to grant folder access. This permission is used only to read from the input folder you select and write to the output folder you select.
Information the Mintpix website collects
The Mintpix website may collect limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the site. This can include:
- Basic server logs: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited (for security and reliability).
- Cookies: We may use essential cookies required for site functionality.
If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and disclose what is collected and how it is used.
Third-party services
Mintpix may use third-party services for limited purposes such as crash reporting, support email delivery, or website hosting. If used, these services may process limited technical data (for example, diagnostics to help fix bugs).
Currently, Mintpix does not require a third-party account to use the app.
Data retention
Because Mintpix does not upload your images, we do not store your image files on our servers. Any files Mintpix creates are stored locally on your Mac in the output folder you choose.
Website server logs (if collected) are retained only as long as needed for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Children’s privacy
Mintpix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
